Ongwediva Medipark Private Hospital is seeking to recruit a competent and suitably qualified Ophthalmologist to join our Ophthalmology department and provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye-care services to our patients. Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and diagnose the full spectrum of ocular and adnexal disorders. Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic and refractive surgeries. Manage medical eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular disease, uveveitis and paediatric eye disorders. Conduct out-patient clinics, day-case theatre lists and provide in-patient consultation cover. Participate in the on-call and emergency-cover roster for ocular emergencies. Collaborate with optometrists, paediatricians, physicians and allied health professionals in multidisciplinary patient management. Contribute to clinical governance, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality-improvement initiatives (ISO 9001:2015). Support the training and mentorship of medical officers and clinical staff. Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HPCNA and hospital standards.
Requirements
MBChB or equivalent primary medical qualification. Recognised specialist qualification in Ophthalmology – FC(Ophth)SA, MMed(Ophth) or equivalent. Current registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as a specialist Ophthalmologist (or eligibility to register). Demonstrable post-specialisation clinical and surgical experience. Excellent clinical judgement, surgical
skills
