Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Operations, the IT- Officer role will provide reliable and efficient IT support, maintain the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensure system availability and security, and support the effective use of technology across the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
IT Support & Service ManagementProvide first-line technical support to staff and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, telecommunications equipment, and other IT devices.Manage user accounts, access rights, passwords, and permissions.Respond to IT support requests promptly and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.Systems & Infrastructure ManagementMonitor and maintain IT systems, networks, servers, internet connectivity, and related infrastructure.Ensure systems and applications are available, reliable, and functioning effectively.Perform routine system maintenance, updates, patches, and upgrades.Support the implementation and integration of new IT systems and technologies.IT Security & Data ProtectionImplement and monitor IT security controls to protect company systems and information.Ensure regular antivirus, security updates, backups, and recovery procedures are maintained.Monitor and report potential security threats, breaches, and unauthorized access.Promote compliance with IT policies, data protection requirements, and information security standards.IT Projects & Process ImprovementSupport the implementation of IT projects, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.Identify opportunities to automate and improve business processes through technology.Provide technical guidance to users on effective use of systems and applications.Support integration and optimization of business applications.Vendor & Asset ManagementCoordinate with IT vendors , service providers and group on technical support, maintenance, and system-related issues.Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment, software, licenses, and other technology assets.Monitor IT equipment warranties, licenses, contracts, and service agreements.Reporting & DocumentationMaintain proper documentation of IT systems, configurations, incidents, assets, and procedures.Prepare periodic IT performance, incident, security, and infrastructure reports.Monitor IT service levels and recommend improvements where necessary.Support business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements relating to IT systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
