A well-established Engineering company is looking for an organised and customer-focused Internal Sales Administrator to join its dynamic sales support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys building customer relationships, coordinating orders from enquiry through to delivery, and ensuring exceptional customer service every step of the way. About the Role As the Internal Sales Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting both customers and the external sales team. You'll be responsible for managing the full enquiry, quotation and order process while liaising with multiple internal departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. Key responsibilitiesManage customer enquiries, quotations and sales orders from initial enquiry through to completion.Prepare accurate quotations, confirming pricing, stock availability and delivery requirements.Process sales orders and maintain customer information on the company's ERP and CRM systems.Follow up on quotations, open orders and backorders to ensure excellent customer service.Provide support to customers and the external sales team throughout the sales process.Coordinate with procurement, stores, dispatch, finance and operations to ensure efficient order fulfilment.Assist with customer queries, returns, credits and related documentation.Maintain accurate sales reports, quotation records and order tracking information.Send order confirmations and keep customers informed of order progress.Assist with special transaction costing and the management of customer consignment stock.Create and maintain customer accounts and ensure all customer data remains accurate and up to date.Work closely with internal teams to support on-time delivery and maximise customer satisfaction.Minimum requirementsGrade 12 (matric).A diploma or relevant qualification in sales administration, business administration, customer service, supply chain or logistics would be advantageous.NDT industry knowledge will be beneficial.Experience2–5 years' experience in an internal sales, sales administration, customer service or sales support role.Experience preparing quotations and processing sales orders.Exposure to ERP, CRM or similar business systems.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.The ideal candidate You are a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
