VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ SME CLINIC POSITION: GENERAL MANAGERLocation: BlantyreOVERVIEW SME Clinic is recruiting on behalf of its client, a fully integrated, multidisciplinary security and facilities management company, for a General Manager with a strong operations background.The General Manager will oversee the company’s day-to-day performance, with accountability for service delivery, people management, client relationships, and business growth. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance operational excellence with commercial acumen, ensuring sustainable success across all functions.Key responsibilitiesProvide leadership across operations, commercial and support functions.Ensure contracts are delivered to agreed standards and remain commercially sound.Set priorities, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Lead managers, develop teams and strengthen accountability.Support strategic planning, budgeting and business development.RequirementsProven senior leadership experience in security, facilities management or a related service business.A strong operational background, including responsibility for teams and multiple client contracts.Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and performance.Excellent leadership, decision-making and client relationship skills.A relevant degree and/or professional qualification is expected, with advanced credentials such as an MBA or equivalent being highly regarded.To apply, send your CV and a brief cover letter to gm@smeclinic.mw, with General Manager as the subject, by 9th October, 2026.
