VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ SME CLINIC POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICERLocation: BlantyreOVERVIEW SME Clinic is recruiting on behalf of its client, a fully integrated, multidisciplinary security and facilities management company, for the position of Business Development Officer.The successful candidate will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and supporting the expansion of the company’s security and facilities management services. This role requires a proactive, commercially minded professional who can translate client needs into tailored solutions, prepare compelling proposals, and contribute to the company’s long‑term success.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.Meet prospective clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable services.Coordinate the preparation of proposals, tenders and presentations.Follow up on opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.Monitor market developments and report on sales activity.RequirementsMinimum of Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or Sales.A valid driver’s license is a must with adequate driving experience.Experience in business development, sales or account management.Strong communication, negotiation and proposal writing skills.Experience in security or facilities management will be an advantage.To apply, send your CV and a brief cover letter to bdo@smeclinic.mw, with Business Development Officer as the subject, by 9th October, 2026.
