Job description

Responsibilities:
• Plan, direct, and supervise all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and crushing
• Monitor ore grade control and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
• Manage personnel and equipment resources effectively
• Ensure all mining operations adhere to strict safety guidelines and environmental regulations
• Conduct regular inspections of work sites and address any issues or concerns promptly
• Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and government agencies
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other professionals to optimize mining operations

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in open-pit mining operations, including at least 5 years in a management role
• Proven track record of increasing production levels while reducing costs
• Extensive knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Strong leadership abilities, including communication, delegation, and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and mining-related computer programs
• Ability to travel internationally as needed
