Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities entail
- Reading and interpreting drawings for works;
- Carrying out costing and quantity of works and equipment;
- Supervise maintain works and equipment;
- Supervise staff under them to work as assigned;
- Preparing work schedules;
- Making requisition of requires materials from central stores;
- Supervising construction work on internal projects;
- Reporting on technical matters in relation to construction projects; and
- Ensuring delivery of quality services and workmanship.
Required Qualification
For appointment to this grade, a staff must have: –
- At least three (3) years’ work experience at the grade of Works Officer II or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field;
- Registration with the Engineer’s Board of Kenya or relevant professional body;
- Proficiency in computer application.
