Test Engineer Job Opportunity in Lusaka TopFloor is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our client’s multinational engineering and construction team in Lusaka, Zambia. About the Role: Test Engineer Jobs in Lusaka As the lead Test Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all testing, verification, and performance evaluation activities related to road and bridge construction projects. You will oversee both laboratory and field testing operations, ensuring compliance with international engineering standards, contractual requirements, and local regulations. Your expertise will guide construction teams to deliver infrastructure works that meet the highest standards of durability, reliability, and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise pre-construction testing of materials and mix ratios, ensuring full verification and approval. Oversee process tests and review results for accuracy and compliance. Develop and maintain project testing management protocols, including specifications, testing frequency, reporting, and record keeping. Conduct on-site and laboratory inspections in line with testing regulations. Manage procurement, testing, and inspection of raw, semi-finished, and finished materials with strict quality control and random sampling. Issue and approve test and inspection reports promptly, and follow up on any unqualified results. Participate in internal quality acceptance and external final acceptance procedures. Attend departmental meetings to review performance, contribute to training initiatives, and support continuous improvement. Organize and archive project documentation, photos, and videos, ensuring secure storage and backup. Adhere to company policies and participate in team-building and training activities as required. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline. Minimum of three years’ experience as a test engineer in road and bridge projects. Valid membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ). Proficiency in operational procedures and workflows for road and bridge project testing management. Knowledge of technical specifications for road and bridge engineering in China and Zambia, with a foundational understanding of FIDIC clauses. Strong

skills

in MS Office Suite and Digital Occupational Health Systems. Demonstrated innovation capabilities, including proposing improvements and applying new technologies. Excellent communication

skills

with the ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve workplace conflicts. Proactive work ethic, able to identify tasks independently and propose practical solutions. Effective teamwork skills, including motivating colleagues and fostering a collaborative environment. Ability to maintain high standards, attention to detail, and logical problem-solving skills.
