VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: SUPERINTENDENT -COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit highly committed and passionate employees for the position of SUPERINTENDENT COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS to join the versatile Human Resource team.
Reporting to the Assistant Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for effective management of the Site’s Compensation, Benefits and Human Resources Information System.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following
- Managing the site’s compensation and benefits programmes and ensuring alignment with company policies and approved frameworks.
- Providing advice to management on remuneration, salary positioning, employee benefits and compensation related matters.
- Maintaining and reviewing salary structures, salary scales and remuneration practices.
- Conducting remuneration benchmarking and analysing market trends to support informed Compensation decisions.
- Managing the site job evaluation and grading process.
- Manage the end-to-end annual compensation review cycle, working closely with the Assistant HR Manager and Human Resources Manager to coordinate salary increases, Short-Term Incentives/Long Term Incentive eligibility, performance data, budgeting, market and CPI analysis, approval schedules, payroll inputs and employee compensation statements.
- Oversee all aspects of Long-Term Incentive administration and governance, including participant records, vesting schedules, ongoing plan administration and tax considerations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective coordination across HR, Payroll and regional stakeholders.
- Managing production bonus arrangements, including review, analysis and validation of bonus calculations.
- Managing the HRIS and ensuring that employee and organisational data is accurate, complete and maintained in a timely manner.
- Providing leadership, coaching and direction to employees within the Compensation, Benefits and HRIS function.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements.
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Minimum Degree in Human Resources or related discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Eight (8) years’ significant experience in Human Resources, three (3) of which must be in leadership role in Compensation and Benefits.
- Experience within mining industry will be highly advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong Numerical skills, Microsoft Excel and Data analysis capability
- Sound knowledge of Zambian Labour Laws
- Demonstrate good Leadership in safety culture and behavioral safety.
- Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
- Must be a Zambian Citizen
