Acting as the essential liaison between design teams, contractors, and field personnel, the role manages daily site operations, resolves technical challenges, monitors progress, verifies workmanship quality, and maintains thorough documentation. Through effective coordination, schedule management, and quality assurance, the Site Engineer delivers infrastructure works with precision, efficiency, and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely progress and adherence to quality standards. Oversee safety management measures and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements. Coordinate design activities and resolve technical issues on site. Participate in departmental meetings, summarize performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Organize and archive project documentation, including photographic and video records, ensuring secure cloud backups. Maintain daily construction management logs, respond to supervisory feedback, and comply with all company policies and procedures. Support team-building activities and perform additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of three years’ experience as a bridge and road project engineer. Valid membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ). Proficiency in operational procedures and workflows related to road and bridge project testing management guidelines. Knowledge of technical specifications for road and bridge engineering in China and Zambia, with foundational understanding of FIDIC clauses applicable to project management. Competency in MS Office Suite and CAD software. Desired
