POSTED BY MVUNGI JOB MASTERVACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTRECRUITMENT AGENCY: CAREERS CONSULTING LIMITEDPOSITION: SECURITY OFFICER (1 POST)Duty Station: Estates in Mulanje and ThyoloReports to: Senior Operations ManagerContract Duration: 2 years, renewableExpected Start Date: 1 December 2026Application Deadline: Thursday, 22 October 2026JOB OVERVIEWA large integrated tea and macadamia production agribusiness operating in Mulanje and Thyolo is seeking to recruit a qualified Security Officer to oversee the security and safety of company employees, properties and estate establishments.The successful candidate will develop and implement security procedures, coordinate security operations and supervise security personnel.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage, supervise and coordinate security guards across company properties and estate establishments.Conduct regular internal and external security patrols to maintain effective security controls.Organise security drills and train guards in security procedures, emergency response and threat management.Monitor security equipment and vehicles and promptly report faults.Assist in recruiting security guards in accordance with company recruitment procedures.Report cases to local police, obtain Criminal Record (CR) numbers and follow up on cases.Submit fortnightly management reports detailing security incidents, CR numbers and prosecution progress.Represent the company at security meetings and collaborate with relevant industry stakeholders.Ensure company security policies and procedures are consistently implemented.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEApplicants must meet the following requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Security Studies or at least a Diploma in Security Studies.Minimum of five years' experience working with a registered and established security agency.High ethical standards, honesty, motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision.Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.Fluency in Chichewa and English.Strong leadership, surveillance, security management and emergency response skills.Ability to manage, train and motivate a team.Willingness to work long hours when required.Strong knowledge of security procedures, hazards and safety threats.Ability to ride a motorcycle and possession of a valid motorcycle licence.HOW TO APPLYQualified candidates should submit the following documents:Updated CV.Detailed cover letter.Details of three traceable referees.Copies of academic and professional certificates.Copy of National ID.Email: jobs@careersmw.comThe advert states that applications may also be submitted through the Careers Malawi online platform.
