Job Summary The Relationship Manager is responsible for driving business growth by managing customer relationships, increasing business volumes, expanding the customer base, and maximizing wallet share. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, maintaining a high-quality portfolio, and supporting the achievement of the bank's business objectives. Key Responsibilities Drive growth in business volumes, customer base, and wallet share. Maintain the required level of personal competence to effectively perform relationship management responsibilities. Ensure consistent adherence to established policies, procedures, and tools to achieve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost control. Minimize risks related to Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and portfolio maintenance. Manage customer expectations effectively and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Maintain a high-quality customer portfolio at all times. Daily Responsibilities Create and manage banking relationships while ensuring optimal sales across Treasury, Corporate, and Retail Banking customers through joint customer visits and cross-selling. Tailor banking products and services creatively to meet individual customer needs. Grow the Retail Banking customer base by acquiring new customers and increasing wallet share from existing customers. Manage customer relationships to ensure retention by resolving customer complaints within agreed service timelines. Monitor customer accounts and ensure there are no unauthorized excesses or overdrafts. Work closely with the Credit Team and Branch Manager to ensure credit applications for new and existing facilities are accurately prepared in accordance with KCB and Group credit policies. Assess individual credit cases and recommend credit applications for approval by the relevant authorities. Collaborate with colleagues across different business areas to ensure customers receive high-quality banking services. Provide feedback to the Branch Manager and other relevant stakeholders regarding customer service performance and trends in customer assets and liabilities. Deliver customer service that aligns with the Bank's mission and service standards. Ensure full compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Perform all necessary actions to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and report any suspicious activities. Exercise due care and diligence to ensure compliance with all KYC and AML requirements. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in: Accounting Finance Marketing Business Management or a related field (Required) Master's Degree in Business Administration (Added Advantage) Professional Qualifications Professional certifications such as CPA or equivalent (Added Advantage) Experience Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in relationship management, banking, or a related field.
