POSTED BY MVUNGI JOB MASTERJOB VACANCY: QUANTITY SURVEYORCompany: Unik Construction Engineering (M) LtdProject: Periodic Maintenance/Rehabilitation of Golomoti–Monkey Bay/Mtakataka Turnoff (M10) Road to Bitumen Standard — 30 km, Lot 1Location: Mangochi District, site-basedContract Duration: 18 monthsReports to: Project ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly Interim Payment Applications (IPCs) in accordance with the contract, including accurate measurements agreed with the Engineer’s site team.Maintain the priced Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and record monthly quantities and valuations.Prepare and value variations and cost adjustments.Administer provisional sums, authorised compensation and dayworks in line with the Particular Specifications.Calculate price-adjustment claims using the contract formula and coefficients.Support the preparation and substantiation of claims, including haulage-distance and unforeseeable-condition claims.Monitor project costs and prepare cash-flow forecasts and cost reports for the Chief Quantity Surveyor.Maintain complete, auditable measurement and costing records.Liaise with the Engineer on joint measurements, site meetings and commercial correspondence.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.5–8 years of Quantity Surveying experience, with significant exposure to road or civil infrastructure projects.Sound knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract, preferably the 2017 edition.Knowledge of Malawi PPDA and Roads Authority contract practices.Strong skills in measurement, BOQ preparation, valuation and cost control.Proficiency in MS Excel; QS software experience is an advantage.Excellent written and spoken English.Working knowledge of Chichewa is an added advantage.How to ApplySend your CV and cover letter to either of the following email addresses:ma.alick@unikconst.comhr.ma@unikconst.comAlternatively, deliver your application by hand to the company’s head office at Golden Peacock, Floor 4.Email subject: Quantity SurveyorOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.More OpportunitiesFind more jobs: https://mvungi.com/jobsRegister for Mvungi's job application service: https://mvungi.com/registerFollow the Mvungi Job Master WhatsApp channel:https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7gbc91XquZnalOXc2i
