Production Planner

Job description

Our client, a leading player in the print and packaging industry, is seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Planner to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for efficiency. Key responsibilities Manage all administrative activities related to the production planning process. Participate in daily and weekly production meetings, ensuring all departments are aligned with client delivery dates and production priorities. Develop and maintain accurate production schedules to ensure seamless workflow across printing, finishing, and packaging departments. Liaise closely with internal sales and account management teams to determine lead times and ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery of customer orders. Work in collaboration with the Production Manager and supervisory team to monitor progress, flag potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions proactively. Requirements Previous experience in the print, packaging, or related manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments. Analytical and creative thinker — able to interpret information and make informed scheduling decisions. Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. Passionate about production planning and committed to continuous improvement.
