Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise daily poultry operations, initially with 1,500 broilers, scaling up to 6,000 broilers. Ensure strict adherence to poultry management standards and biosecurity protocols. Monitor flock health, feeding, watering, stocking density, growth performance, and welfare standards. Supervise and collaborate closely with two general workers to maintain operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of production, mortality, medication, and feed consumption. Prepare and submit regular operational reports to the Site Supervisor. Minimum
Qualifications
and Experience Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent. At least three (3) years of practical experience in poultry production and management. Certificate, Diploma, or higher qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Production, Livestock Production, Veterinary Studies, or a related discipline. Membership with the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AZIA) or another recognized agricultural professional body is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of broiler production, poultry housing, feeding programs, disease prevention, and biosecurity best practices.
