Burundi Recruitment Intern
One Acre Fund (OAF)
Job description
One Acre Fund–Burundi (Tubura) is recruiting a paid Recruitment Intern for its Bujumbura office. The intern supports recruitment for junior roles across the Burundi programme, manages multiple hiring pipelines, reviews CVs and conducts initial phone interviews in French or English, coordinates job advertisements and interview logistics, maintains applicant records in Greenhouse, responds to candidate enquiries, and supports the Global Recruitment team. This is part of One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program. The employer lists Bujumbura as the job location and does not advertise a remote option. Its current original vacancy says applications close 11 December 2026 and are reviewed on a rolling basis; an earlier public Facebook/Interhuman repost says 30 October, so applicants should rely on the current employer application page. Apply directly using the employer link. Official role/application: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/oneacrefundburundi/jobs/8190841 . Public Facebook lead: https://www.facebook.com/100064251692691/posts/avis-de-recrutement-date-limite30-octobre-2026/1529992879152421/ . Interhuman repost: https://interhuman.bi/job/avis-de-recrutement/ . One Acre Fund states that it never charges candidates to apply or interview.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications or a related field. Professional fluency in English and French is required; Kirundi is preferred. The qualifications section says applicants must be Burundian nationals, while the same employer page’s eligibility section says the role is open to citizens or permanent residents of Burundi. Check this inconsistency with One Acre Fund if your eligibility depends on permanent residence. Candidates should be comfortable managing recruitment workflows, applicant communications and administrative records.
Benefits
This is a paid internship with a reasonable stipend, but One Acre Fund does not state an amount. The Young Professionals Program describes onboarding, training, mentorship, regular feedback and substantial project work.
