Job description

Responsible for providing medical care, conducting clinical assessments, managing health conditions, supporting specialist services, promoting disease prevention, maintaining patient records, and supporting healthcare programmes across county health facilities. Requires relevant medical or healthcare qualifications, professional registration, valid practising licences, and relevant clinical experience. The positions are based in Marsabit and require on-site work.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing nutrition programmes
- Providing nutrition services in health care facilities
- Conducting nutrition assessment
- Collecting and compiling nutrition data
- Providing nutrition health education and demonstrations
- Counselling of patients with specific nutritional needs
- Monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeds
- Implementing outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes
- Promoting maternal, infant and young children feeding programmes
- Providing micronutrient supplementation
Qualifications
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Diploma in community nutrition, Clinical nutrition and dietetics from a recognized institution
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
- Registration by the Council of the Institute of Nutritionists and Dietetics (CIND)
