Big ideas. Well-chosen words: “That is awesome!” If that’s the response you like to hear when people see your work, read on. You could be the mid-level copywriter we’re looking for in our Durban jungle. We’re looking for a strong conceptual thinker who knows how to turn an audience insight into a compelling creative idea, then bring it to life across multiple channels. Someone whose portfolio makes us admire the thinking as much as the writing. Can you find the idea that unlocks the brief? You ask good questions, look for human truths, and explore different directions before landing on a concept. You’ll work closely with art directors, designers and strategists to develop original ideas that answer the brief and give people a reason to care. Can your idea travel? A strong concept should have plenty of places to go. You can see how it could become a film, a radio spot, an outdoor headline, a digital experience, or something people want to share. You understand what holds a campaign together and how to make each execution work for its channel. Can you bring it to life on the page? You can write the line that sells the idea, the script that makes someone feel something, and the social post that gets a reaction. From campaign headlines to websites and longer-form content, you care about clarity, character, and craft. Can you make a social post as compelling as a TV spot? We can. And we’d like you to help us prove it. You’ll bring the same conceptual ambition to always-on social content as you do to a campaign brief, working with social managers and designers to create ideas that belong in people’s feeds. Can you get other people excited about your thinking? You can explain a concept simply, build a persuasive creative presentation and present confidently to your team and clients. You’re comfortable taking feedback, developing an idea further, and helping junior writers strengthen their own work. Requirements

Degree What you'll bring: A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking and original campaign ideas brought to life across multiple channels.Experience working in an advertising or creative agency.The ability to turn brand, audience, and cultural insights into compelling creative concepts.Confidence developing an idea from the initial brief through to finished executions, with ownership of the copy throughout.Strong writing skills across campaign headlines, scripts, social, digital and longer-form content.An understanding of how different channels work and how to adapt an idea while keeping its central thought intact.Experience collaborating with art directors, designers, strategists and social teams.The ability to present your thinking clearly, manage multiple briefs and support junior writers.An eye for detail.
