Junior Learning and Development Content Technician On-site | George, Western Cape Turn learning into something people want to complete. Love creating content? Curious about AI, digital learning and how people learn best? We’re looking for a Junior Learning and Development Content Technician to join our Learning and Development team at Dotsure. This is a great opportunity to build your career in instructional design while getting hands-on experience with digital learning, multimedia, AI tools and content development. You won’t just be formatting slides or updating documents. You’ll help turn ideas, policies, procedures and expert knowledge into learning that is clear, engaging and genuinely useful. About the role You’ll work closely with our learning and development team and subject matter experts to create and maintain learning content for our people. Your day could include helping to build an e-learning module, turning a complicated process into a simple job aid, creating a short video or presentation, updating content on our LMS, or experimenting with AI to make content creation smarter and more efficient. You’ll get exposure to: E-learning and microlearning contentLearner guides, workbooks and assessmentsPresentations, simple videos, graphics and multimediaInstructional design and adult learning principlesAI-assisted content creation using tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or ClaudeLearning management systems and digital content librariesWebinars, virtual learning sessions and learning eventsContent quality assurance, proofreading and version controlWorking with stakeholders to gather information and feedbackMost importantly, you’ll be learning as you go and building the skills to grow into a confident Instructional Designer.

Requirements

About you You’re probably the person who enjoys taking messy information and making it easier to understand. You’re creative, curious and comfortable learning new technology. You care about the small details, but you can also see the bigger picture: helping someone understand something better. You’ll ideally have: A diploma or degree, or be studying towards one, in learning and development, education, instructional design, human resources, Multimedia design, communications or a related fieldStrong writing, editing and proofreading skillsGood Microsoft 365 skillsAn interest in digital learning, AI and instructional designStrong organisation and time-management skillsThe confidence to collaborate with different people and ask the right questionsA willingness to learn, experiment and keep improvingBonus points if you’ve played around with: Around 1–2 years’ experience in learning content development, instructional design, content creation or a similar environmentArticulate 360, rise or storylineCanvaSynthesia or similar video toolsLearning management systemsFacilitation or presentationsWorkflow automationAI tools and prompt writingYou don’t need to be an expert in everything on that list.
