Oksijen  ·  Cote Bougie We're Hiring: Operations and Marketing Coordinator Oksijen is a boutique interior design studio in Johannesburg, now in its nineteenth year, opening a new showroom soon. Côté Bougie is our sister venture, importing candles, reed diffusers, decor, African art and design pieces. Between the two, we sell online, through a stand at Trov, and soon from our own showroom. We need someone to run everything that happens once a piece is ready to sell: getting it onboarded, shipped, packaged, tracked, and followed up on, and telling that story on social media. About the role This is a hands-on role covering fulfillment, logistics, and marketing across Oksijen and Côté Bougie. You'll manage the full order process from purchase to delivery, keep our Trov stock tracked and current, build relationships with buyers, sellers, and stockists, and run our social media. You'll also set up the systems, order tracking, packaging, follow-up emails, that make all of this run smoothly day to day. You'll also coordinate shoots, catalogue new pieces, and curate sales campaigns on Instagram and Facebook, as well as future physical exhibitions and launches. What we're looking for Experience in e-commerce operations, order fulfillment, or a similarly logistics-heavy roleComfortable with outbound sales: cold calling and emailing to build relationships with buyers, sellers, and stockistsStrong understanding of branding and marketing, and how to place the right product with the right customerWorking knowledge of WooCommerce or a similar e-commerce platformA real interest in and knowledge of interiors, design, and decor, including African art and collectablesComfortable managing packaging, stationery, and the physical unboxing experienceSocial media content creation and managementComfortable coordinating photoshoots and content days (photography skills a bonus, as we have our own studio space)Organised enough to build a process from scratch and keep it runningYour own computerYour own reliable transportA valid driver's licenceSouth African resident, or holder of a valid work permitContactable referencesCompensation and Contract Base salary is market-related and negotiable based on experience. Part of the package is commission-based, tied to new accounts and trade sales, and that commission increases in line with performance. NotApplicable The top two skills required are: Sales and relationship comfort and systems-building Operations and logistics: Comfort running an order from purchase to delivery without things falling through cracks, working knowledge of WooCommerce or a similar platform, and the ability to track stock across two channels without them getting muddled. Sales and relationships: Real comfort with outbound contact, cold calling and emailing, not hating that part of the job, plus the relationship-building instinct to turn a first contact into an ongoing stockist or trade account. Marketing and brand judgment: Understanding our product and brand well enough to know which customer it's actually for, and translating that into positioning rather than generic promotion. Content and social media: Planning and running a content calendar, writing captions that sound like the brand, and coordinating photo shoots. Systems thinking: This role needs someone who can look at a messy process and turn it into a repeatable one, rather than someone who only executes a process already handed to them.
