Position Summary

The IT Specialist supports the clinic’s technology systems and digital communications. This role provides technical support, maintains secure and reliable systems, and creates and manages digital content to promote clinic services and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Systems

Provide day-to-day technical support to clinicians and administrative staff.

Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other devices.

Support EHR/EMR, practice-management, scheduling, billing, and telehealth systems.

Manage user accounts, access permissions, software updates, backups, and equipment inventory.

Maintain reliable wired and wireless networks, internet access, and clinic communications.

Help protect patient and business data through security controls, staff guidance, and incident response.

Support compliance with applicable privacy and healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA where relevant.

Coordinate with software vendors, internet providers, and external IT service providers.

Document technical issues, solutions, procedures, and system changes.

Assist with technology onboarding and staff training.

Social Media Management.

Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create and update clinic graphics, promotional materials, and patient-education resources.

Use Adobe Premiere Pro/Capcut/ to edit videos for clinic communications, education, and marketing.

Maintain consistent branding across digital and print materials.

Ensure content is accurate, accessible, and approved by appropriate clinic staff before publication.

Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across the clinic’s social media platforms.

Maintain a content calendar aligned with clinic services, events, and campaigns.

Monitor comments and messages, escalating clinical questions or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.

Track engagement and prepare basic performance reports.

Follow clinic policies and privacy requirements; never share identifiable patient information without proper authorization.

Recommend improvements to the clinic’s digital presence and patient communications.

Qualifications

Diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, digital media, or a related field.

Experience providing technical support; healthcare or small-business experience preferred.

Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, networking, and endpoint security.

Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.

Experience managing social media accounts and creating digital content.

Experience with EHR/EMR or practice-management systems is an advantage.

Understanding of healthcare privacy, confidentiality, and data-security practices.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

Preferred Skills

Basic network administration, including Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.

Experience supporting telehealth and billing systems.

Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools.

Relevant IT or Adobe Suite are an asset.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a clinic environment, with occasional movement between treatment rooms and administrative areas. Some flexibility may be required to resolve urgent technical issues or support scheduled campaigns.

Reliable availability of essential clinic systems.

Accurate documentation and equipment records.

Consistent, timely, on-brand digital content.

Responsible handling of patient information.

Positive staff feedback and audience engagement.
