Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to modernise our data environment, strengthen platform capabilities and enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the enterprise data platform roadmap.Lead cloud data architecture, platform engineering and data integration initiatives.Modernise legacy systems and establish scalable, API-driven data environments.Implement data governance, quality, security, monitoring and data reliability practices.Enable trusted enterprise data, AI, advanced analytics and self-service reporting.Collaborate with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business value.Lead high-performing technical teams, delivery partners and vendors.Manage delivery governance, resources and budget inputs.Minimum requirements:
NQF level 7 qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.5–7 years’ experience in data engineering, data platforms or enterprise architecture.Proven experience in enterprise data platform modernisation and cloud technologies.Experience leading technical delivery teams.Valid driver’s licence.Advantageous: NQF level 8 qualification, cloud or architecture certifications, and experience in AI, advanced analytics, mobility or asset-intensive industries.The reference number for this position is NG61549 which is a permanent, Hybrid role in Johannesburg offering a salary of up to R1mil per annum salary negotiable based on experience.
