The company operates a modern quarry and plant facility supplying high-quality cement products to the Malawian market and beyond.CPL is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position:General Fitter & TurnerKey ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Performing maintenance, repair, and fabrication of mechanical parts and components.Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and designs to ensure precision in machining and fitting work.Ensuring all fitting and turning work is carried out efficiently and safely in accordance with company standards.Maintaining workshop tools and machinery in good working condition.Collaborating with other departments to minimize downtime during plant maintenance and repairs.Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants should possess:Grade 1 or Advanced City & Guilds Certificate in Fitting & Turning or a related field.A minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge and practical experience in machine shop operations.Required Skills and AttributesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical designs.Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding industrial environment.Proficiency in operating the following machinery:Lathe MachinesMilling MachinesDalfit DS12 Slot MachineJungenthal KE1200 Vertical BorerHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.Strong problem-solving and technical skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Application ProcedureInterested candidates should submit the following:Application letterDetailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)Copies of relevant academic and professional certificatesApplications should be addressed to:The Human Resources ManagerCement Products Limited (CPL)Email:info@cementproductsltd.comadmin@cementproductsltd.comApplication DeadlineApplications must be received no later than 31st July 2026.
