Event Stylist

Job description

We are looking for a hardworking, team player to join our team and get involved within the décor & styling division of our Johannesburg branch. The ideal candidate should possess practical experience in styling high-end events or similar projects. This experience will enable the candidate to navigate the intricacies of event design, décor, lighting, and furniture styling with finesse and creativity. A key requirement for this role is a strong aesthetic sense and the ability to translate concepts into visually stunning event experiences. In addition to a keen eye for design, candidates should demonstrate the capacity to work efficiently under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and be willing to put in long hours when necessary to ensure the successful execution of events. You must be comfortable working within existing processes and be willing to work collaboratively with the styling and client service teams. Candidates should be proactive in bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table, contributing to the continuous growth of Urbantonics’ event design offerings. Overall planning of events. including conceptualisation, planning, budgeting, implementation and execution.Creating mood boards with various look and feel’sSourcing and shopping for specific eventsGeneral office administrationLiaising with clients, suppliers and colleagues in other divisionsGenerate quotes and invoicing for clientsSkills required: Design suitable mood boardsComputer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word etc.Willing to work outside of standard working hoursFamiliarity with floral and an eye for styleStrong work ethicAbility to work well under pressureAttention to detailGreat organisational skillsGood communication skills, written and verbalCreativityGood time managementValid code eight driver’s licence'Can do' attitudeTertiary educationMarketing/branding background
