Job Description
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@AMANI ADVISORY GROUP POSITION: DRIVER / OFFICE ASSISTANTLocation: Lilongwe, with travel nationwide as requiredHours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00; occasional authorised overtime and rest-day/public-holiday driving where operationally necessaryTerms: Full-time, 1 year contract subject to renewal; six-month probation. Competitive salary plus registered pension, medical aid, and statutory benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the Managing Partner and other authorised personnel safely and punctually to business destinations within Malawi.Maintain the assigned vehicle: daily pre-trip checks, regular cleaning, adherence to the service schedule, and accurate trip logs.Deliver and collect documents to and from clients, banks, government offices, courier services and the post office.Undertake authorised banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and cheque submissions.Support office operations: opening and securing the premises, photocopying, basic filing, and reception cover when required.Carry out reasonable errands and ad hoc duties as directed, with honesty and discretion.Minimum RequirementsMalawian citizen holding a valid National Identity card.Valid Malawi driving licence (Class B minimum; Class C an added advantage), with a clean, unendorsed record and no current suspension or traffic-rule violations.At least four (4) years’ proven professional driving experience, supported by 2 reference letter(s), with a demonstrable safe-driving record and sound knowledge of Lilongwe roads and major routes nationwide.Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent; literacy in English and Chichewa, with sound verbal and basic written communication skills.Physically fit and able to sustain the demands of long-distance and full-day driving, loading and delivering documents and parcels, and general office support duties.Able to keep accurate vehicle logs, fuel receipts, delivery records and basic office records.Available to work approved overtime and odd hours, and to travel within and outside Malawi when operationally required.Added advantage: a valid defensive-driving certificate, and/or a PSV or chauffeur’s certificate.Personal AttributesHigh standards of honesty, integrity, confidentiality and discretion.Reliable, punctual, presentable and professional in appearance and conduct.Sober habits and a responsible, safety-first attitude with sound judgement under pressure.Courteous and clear communicator with clients, colleagues, suppliers, government offices and the public.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit: (1) a covering letter; (2) an updated CV with three (3) traceable referees; (3) copies of their driving licence, National Identity card, MSCE certificate and any defensive-driving, PSV or chauffeur’s certificate held; and (4) reference letter(s) evidencing the required driving experience.Applications should be sent to amaniadvisory@outlook.com, marked “Driver / Office Assistant”, to reach us by 8 August 2026.
