VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSIONPOSITION: DRIVER Location: Lilongwe OVERVIEW The Human Rights Commission (the Commission), an independent institution established under Chapter XI of the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi, invites applications for the following vacant position:Title of post : DriverGrade : H13Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (M.S.C.E);
- A valid Driving License and Defensive Driving Certification;
- Minimum of two (2) years' continuous experience driving vehicles in reputable institutions;
- At least two (2) years of experience working with and understanding human rights. Duties
- Ensuring proper care, security and attention for all vehicles in use each time;
- Transporting members of staff and Commissioners on Commission's official business in a professional manner;
- Transporting visitors travelling on Commission's business;
- Maintaining log book on a daily basis;
- Carrying out daily routine vehicle checks, i.e. oil, water, battery water/acid, etc. and keeping the vehicle(s) clean at all the time;
- Reporting on the state of repair and insurance renewal of the assigned vehicle;
- Carry out such other lawful duties as assigned by the Commission from time to time. The Commission is an equal opportunity employer.
