OVERVIEW
Good Results for All (GoRA) is a national NGO established and mandated to operate in Malawi in 2011. It is registered with the Government of Malawi through Registrar general, and NonGovernmental Organization Regulatory Authority (NGORA).

To advocate for the wellbeing and empowerment of the marginalized groups through delivering inclusive and community led initiatives that promote sustainable change in Gender equality, health and nutrition, livelihoods and economic development, child affairs, human capital, environmental resilience and human rights.
GoRA with financial support from the Government of Norway through UN Women Malawi is implementing the Chief Kachindamoto Fund (CKF) Ending Child Marriage (ECM) Project in Traditional Authority Kachindamoto, Dedza district.
Job Purpose
The Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating implementation and reporting of the project activities aimed at ending child marriages in T/A Kachindamoto in Dedza district.
Project Goal
Girls and young women thrive and reach their full potential through reduction of early marriages. The successful candidate will work closely existing local structures and other stakeholders that support interventions to advance gender equality & child protection system.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Project officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Coordinate and implement project activities in Dedza district in accordance with the approved work plan.
Mobilize Traditional Leaders (TLs), Religious Leaders (RLs) and existing community based organizations including WLOs to actively participate and take lead in project implementation and ownership.
Collaborate with government departments, CSOs and other partners implementing similar initiative within the district.
Represent GoRA in relevant district level stakeholder meetings such as technical working groups, District Executive Committee (DEC) and related coordination forums.
Facilitate and/or organize community awareness, dialogue, trainings and engagement activities on ending child marriages
Monitor project progress and collect relevant data for reporting and learning purposes. -Prepare timely activity reports, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress reports and other project documentation including RF and IPTT.
Perform any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess; a Bachelor’s degree in Gender and development studies, Social work, community development, development studies, development economics or a related field.
Required Skills and Competences
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently -Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
Good facilitation and community mobilization skills
Ability to enhance collaboration and coordination at district and community levels -Good computer literacy.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in implementing in Gender equality and Child Protection programs.
Proven experience working with local government structures, Traditional leaders, Religious leaders and community based organization including WLOs.
Experience in facilitating community trainings, engagement, awareness campaigns and community led joint advocacy strategies to advance gender equality and end child marriages -Experience in project monitoring, documentation and report writing.
