Digital Marketing Specialist

Who are we? We are a well-established business in the travel and tourism space, looking for a technically strong Digital Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This isn't a purely creative marketing role. We're looking for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes - optimising websites, managing CRM systems, improving SEO, analysing performance and making sure every digital touchpoint works exactly as it should. If you love the technical side of digital marketing just as much as the creative side, we would love to hear from you. Location: Johannesburg or Umhlanga Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with around five years' experience in digital marketing who is equally comfortable working with data, technology and content. You will be naturally organised, proactive and solutions-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects while keeping a close eye on detail. Experience within the travel or tourism industry would be a bonus, but it's not essential. What will you do? You will play a key role in supporting both our marketing and commercial teams by ensuring our digital platforms perform at their best. Your responsibilities will include: Managing and optimising our website, SEO and digital content. Running and optimising paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Meta.Managing HubSpot CRM, including workflows, segmentation, reporting and email marketing.Creating and publishing digital content across web, email and social platforms.Monitoring campaign performance and using data to drive continuous improvement.Improving website conversion rates through testing and optimisation.Supporting the business with digital marketing administration and campaign execution.Working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver successful marketing initiatives.What do you need? A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field. Google certifications (essential).Around 5 years' experience in digital marketing.Strong SEO knowledge, including technical, on-page and off-page optimisation.Experience managing Google Ads and Meta campaigns.Solid WordPress experience with a working knowledge of HTML and CSS.Strong HubSpot CRM experience.Excellent content writing and digital copy skills.A good understanding of analytics, reporting and conversion optimisation.Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.A proactive mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
