We are seeking an experienced and analytical Data Analyst to be assessed for a potential data and analytics engagement. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, data pipelines and Azure-based integrations.

Responsibilities:
Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and actionable business insights.Develop, maintain and enhance reports, business intelligence dashboards and performance metrics.Support the development, optimisation and monitoring of data pipelines and ETL processes.Contribute to Azure-based data integrations and analytics solutions.Perform statistical analysis and data modelling to support business reporting and decision-making.Implement and maintain data quality controls, validation processes and data governance practices.Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity and reliability across reporting and analytics platforms.Document analytical methodologies, data processes and reporting requirements.Qualifications and experience:
A relevant NQF level 7 qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related field.At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related discipline.Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and R.Experience in statistical analysis, data interpretation and insight generation.Proven capability in data quality management, data validation and data integrity controls.Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes and data integration.Exposure to Microsoft Azure data services and cloud-based integrations.Advantageous Skills: Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric or related Azure data services.The reference number for this position is NG61559 which is a contract role in Johannesburg offering a salary of up to R500 per hour salary negotiable based on experience.
