We are hiring the following position:Title: Communications and Marketing OfficerReports to: Head of ProgramsLocation: Kasese – DowaJob SummaryThe Communications and Marketing Officer will lead Orant Charities Africa’scommunication strategies to effectively promote the organization’s mission, programs, and achievements. This role involves managing both external and internalcommunications, enhancing organizational visibility, and supporting advocacy andfundraising efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesThe job holder is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities;● Develop and implement the organization’s communications strategy and campaigns.● Create, edit, and disseminate content for press releases, social media, the website,and promotional materials.● Manage the organization’s online presence, including social media channels andwebsite updates.● Develop communication materials to support fundraising, donor reporting, andprogram visibility.● Collaborate with program teams to highlight success stories, case studies, andproject updates.Qualifications & Skills● Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.● At least 3 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or related roles.● Experience in non-profit or development sector communications is an advantage.● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.● Strong social media and digital content management skills.● Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.● Energetic and familiar with youth-focused trends (e.g., TikTok).● Well-spoken with familiarity in influencer marketing and hashtag strategy.● Familiarity with website management is an added advantage.● Good photography and videography skills.Application instructions:Interested candidates should submit the following:A detailed CV.A cover letter highlighting suitability for the role.Links to social media handles.Examples of previous work (e.g., videos, photos, graphic designs).Through the following email address: jobs@orantcharitiesafrica.org.
