The Mater Misericordiae Hospital seeks a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) reporting to the CEO. The COO will oversee all day-to-day operations and support functions, driving operational excellence, patient safety, quality, and financial sustainability.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the CEO in operational strategy, business planning and budgeting
Provide executive oversight of hospital operations, facilities, biomedical engineering and support services .
Partner with Medical, Nursing, Finance and Risk to enhance patient experience, clinical governance and business continuity
Lead quality assurance, accreditation, compliance and SafeCare standards
Drive transformation, digital health, and continuous improvement (Lean, automation)
Monitor KPIs for operations, quality, finance and patient safety
Build a high-performance culture through leadership development and performance management .
Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the
CEO REQUIREMENTS
A Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Services Management, Business Administration (MBA), or related field;
Professional Qualification in Hospital Management, Healthcare Operations, Quality Management, Project Management, or Healthcare Leadership will be an added advantage.
Minimum 10 years progressive leadership in healthcare operations, with at least 5 years at senior executive level in a high-volume hospital
Proven track record in operations, accreditation, financial management and leading multidisciplinary teams .
Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable
