Business Manager
ORBS Consultancy Services Zambia Limited is looking for a qualified, systems-minded Business Manager with both accounting and HR expertise to run our internal operations. The role reports to the General Manager and starts on 4 January 2027.
About ORBS
We provide outsourced Finance & Tax, HR & Payroll, Corporate & Compliance and Business Technology services that help Zambian companies stay compliant, run efficiently and grow.
The role
You will take charge of ORBS’s own accounting and finance, tax and statutory compliance, human resource management and payroll, Odoo administration and office administration, making sure the company is well controlled, always compliant and well informed.
What you will do
- Keep the books in Odoo and deliver monthly management accounts by the 10th.
- File and pay all taxes and statutory contributions in full and on time.
- Lead HR management: recruitment, employee relations, payroll, staff records and the quarterly appraisal cycle in Odoo.
- Administer our Odoo system and report weekly on how well it is being used.
- Manage billing, credit control, cash flow forecasting and the annual audit.
What you will bring
- A full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CA Zambia) and ZICA membership in good standing.
- A recognised HR qualification, ZIHRM registration and a valid ZIHRM practising certificate.
- At least five years’ accounting experience, including statutory compliance and payroll.
- At least three years’ experience in HR management, including employee relations and disciplinary procedures.
- Hands-on experience administering Odoo or another ERP system.
- Thorough knowledge of Zambian tax law and the Employment Code Act.
