Responsible for facilitating card business operations, financial reporting, performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business insights to support strategic decision-making and sustainable profitability of card business Main Responsibilities: Analyze card revenues, network fees, interchange income, and card-related expenses to support profitability management. Assess profitability across various products, customer segments, and business lines. Support the preparation and evaluation of business cases for new card products and enhancements to existing products. Identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives across card business operations. Monitor internal accounts to track targeted card income and identify abnormal losses or expenses. Ensure proper controls are maintained to safeguard the bank against revenue leakage and operational losses. Extract, validate, analyze, and interpret card business data to support decision-making. Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and business opportunities. Develop meaningful insights and recommendations through analysis of card portfolio performance. Review invoices received from vendors and card schemes relating to card business operations and initiate payment processing. Validate scheme fees, charges, and invoices Prepare reports Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial and operational information. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of Banking operations, card schemes, card products life cycle, financial analysis Familiarity with banking systems, card management systems and databases. Understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to card and payment businesses. Good knowledge of card business operations, including debit, credit, prepaid, and virtual card products. Understanding of card transaction lifecycles, settlement processes, chargebacks, disputes, and card scheme operations Advanced use of Power Point, Excel program, SQL and reconciliation tools Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills. Ability to extract, manipulate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources. Ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities through data analytics. Strong report writing and presentation skills Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, computer science or related fields. CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage. Minimum of 3 years banking experience, preferably in Card Business, Finance, Reconciliation or Financial Analysis Experience using SQL for data extraction, reporting, reconciliation, and analysis is preferred.NMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
