World Resources Institute (WRI) is recruiting a Data Science Associate for its Restore Local initiative in Ethiopia. Based in Addis Ababa, the role helps build the information system supporting Ethiopia’s Green Legacy and Degraded Landscape Restoration Special Fund. It combines geospatial data quality and analysis, data workflows, government-partner support, maps and reporting. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, forestry, environmental science, computer science, data science or a related field; six or more years of GIS, remote sensing and/or data-science experience. WRI seeks experience with geospatial datasets and data pipelines, GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS, Python and/or Google Earth Engine, remote sensing, online monitoring systems, and collaboration with non-specialist partners.
