Our client who is in the retail industry is looking for a warehouse manager.
Strategically managing the Warehouse in compliance with the company’s values, policies and vision
Overseeing incoming goods, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Ensuring efficient space utilization
Initiating, coordinating and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures
Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Managing stock control and reconciling with data storage system
Liaising with clients and transportation companies
Planning work schedules, assigning tasks appropriately and appraising results
Recruiting, selecting, orientating, coaching and motivating employees
Producing reports and statistics on a regular basis
Receiving feedback and monitoring the quality of services provided
Monitoring and utilizing the security systems and maintenance
Optimizing the route planning process
Ensuring best practice in all aspects of operation
Leading the respective team by example and keeping subordinates motivated and always working as a team
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am -5pm
Requirements
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators
Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Education and experience
Have a minimum of five years’ previous working experience as a Warehouse Manager
