Location: Lilongwe City Centre, MalawiABOUT THE ROLEDemand Health Charity Ltd is looking for a motivated, proactive and community-oriented Volunteer Field Manager to support the organisation's work in community engagement, partnership development and resource mobilisation.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with communities, building relationships and turning ideas into practical programmes and funding opportunities.This opportunity may suit you if...You are a community-development professional who wants more than simply a job—you want to build something, develop partnerships, mobilise resources and help create community health programmes from the ground up.If you have the experience, networks and drive to make things happen, they would like to hear from you.KEY REQUIREMENTS• At least 3 years' experience in community work, NGO work, development work or a related field• Proven ability to engage effectively with communities and local organisations• Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills• Ability to identify opportunities and contribute to proposal and concept-note development• Initiative, reliability and the ability to work independently• An existing network within NGOs, community organisations, development partners or related sectors will be an added advantage• A genuine interest in community health and developmentKEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Mobilise potential funding opportunities from donors, organisations and development partners• Identify and develop partnerships with NGOs, CBOs, community groups and other local stakeholders• Support the development of project concepts, funding proposals and partnership proposals• Conduct community outreach and help identify community health needs and opportunities• Represent Demand Health Charity Ltd in relevant community and stakeholder engagements• Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and funding organisations• Follow up on funding and partnership opportunities• Support the development and implementation of community-based health projects as funding becomes availableTERMS OF ENGAGEMENT• This is initially a VOLUNTEER POSITION as Demand Health Charity Ltd continues to build its funding base• Volunteer basis• Transport support and lunch provided when undertaking approved duties/field activities• Potential for transition to a permanent paid position once sustainable funding is secured and programmes are establishedHOW TO APPLYSend your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and interest in the position to:Email: partnerships@ahfb.orgApplication deadline: 12/09/2026Demand Health Charity LtdBuilding partnerships for better community health.
