Mary’s Meals Malawi operates its largest school feeding programme, working closely with schools and community volunteers who help prepare and serve nutritious meals every school day.Mary’s Meals Malawi invites applications from energetic, motivated and suitably qualified candidates for the position of Transport Maintenance Officer, based in Blantyre.Date Posted: Monday, 2nd November 2026Application Deadline: Monday, 9th November 2026Reports to: Logistics ManagerPOSITION: TRANSPORT MAINTENANCE OFFICERJOB SUMMARYThe Transport Maintenance Officer will ensure that Mary’s Meals Malawi maintains a well-functioning and reliable vehicle fleet.The successful candidate will coordinate timely vehicle repairs and routine servicing, arrange fuel supplies, report vehicle accidents, process insurance claims, and organise Certificates of Fitness (COF) and vehicle insurance.The officer will also serve as the primary user of the Fleet Management System (FMS) and the secondary user of the Vehicle Tracking System (VTS).DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Transport Maintenance Officer will be responsible for:Ensuring the organisation's vehicle fleet remains in good working condition.Coordinating timely vehicle repairs and maintenance.Scheduling routine vehicle servicing.Ordering fuel and supporting effective fuel management.Reporting vehicle accidents and coordinating the processing of insurance claims.Arranging Certificates of Fitness (COF) and vehicle insurance.Using the Fleet Management System (FMS) as the primary system user.Using the Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) as the secondary system user.Supporting effective fleet management and ensuring vehicles remain available for operational requirements.
