## Job Description

Responsible for delivering training sessions, preparing learning materials, assessing trainees, supporting practical learning, maintaining learner records, and contributing to curriculum and departmental activities. Requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in the area of training, a recognised Trainer of Trainers qualification, and relevant teaching or industry experience. The position is based in Nairobi and requires on-site work.

### Key Responsibilities

- Train and facilitate learning through trainings, seminars, workshops, tutorials andother learning tasks as assigned by the supervisor from time to time;

- Participate in the development, administration and marking of exams, practicaltasks, assignments and continuous assessment tests;

- Participate in the development and implementation of academic policies, guidingprinciples, objectives and functions in accordance with the vision of the Institute;

- Assist in developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance;

- Undertaking research to inform the development/ review of curriculum andvalidation of learning resources;

- Assist in requisition and management of inventories, realia, tools and equipmentused as learning resources;

- Provide advice, guidance and feedback to trainees to support their professionalprogress and refer students to support services as appropriate;

- Participate in supervision and assist students in their practical work;

- Contribute and participate in the development of departmental seminars aimed atsharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the Department;

- Nurture trainees’ creativity and innovation through active involvement in trainees’contests, trade fairs and projects;

- Create industry linkages to support experiential learning, training excursions andattachments;

- Contribute to departmental, Institute and/or University-wide meetings, workinggroups or committees as and when requested to do so;

- Undertake continuous professional development and participate in staff       development and other training activities as required by regulators to update and   enhance skills;

- Maintain proper records of students’ examinations, assignments, practical tasks and   continuous assessment tests and ensure they are keyed in the examination records management system in time;

- Undertake any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related Discipline from an accredited/recognised institution;

- Registered Trainer with Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).

- At least two (2) years’ teaching experience at tertiary level(or its equivalent) or 3 years  industry-based experience;

- Certificate of an approved Trainer of Trainers course.

- A professional qualification or affiliation with a professional association is an added advantage.
