## Job Description

Teaching Jobs. Aga Khan Academy Jobs. Teacher of Humanities delivering the MYP and Diploma programmes, requiring a Bachelor’s degree with a recognized teaching qualification and TSC registration, in an education environment, on-site role.

### Duties & Responsibilities

- Effective delivery of the MYP & Diploma programmes.

- Use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies.

- Contribute to collaborative planning of the MYP/DP curriculum.

- Create an enabling teaching and learning classroom environment.

- Integrates the AK Strands in the teaching and learning process.

- Organization and management of teaching and learning resources.

- Supervision of Internal Assessments, Personal Project, and Extended Essay.

- Provide students with the mentorship and pastoral support necessary for holistic development.

- Contribution to the development of enrichment and residential experiences for students.

- Communicate academic concerns to relevant mentor/Head of Year.

- Provide support for non- specialists in the team.

- Inspire and motivate students gain a deeper appreciation for the subject area.

The requirements

- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution

- A recognized teaching qualification or a BED/MED

- Experience in Teaching International Curriculum is an added advantage

- Must be register with Kenya Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
