POSITIONSupervisor - TFMDEPARTMENTAsset Management & EngineeringLOCATIONGeita Gold Mine TanzaniaEMPLOYMENT STATUSFull Time   OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE Plan, coordinate and supervise the safe, efficient and reliable daily distribution of fuel to mining equipment and supporting equipment across the mine site in compliance with fuel management standards. Support mine production through continuous fuel truck availability, accurate fuel distribution records, reduced fuel losses, prevention of contamination and theft, and full compliance with Health, Safety, Security and Environmental standards. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Plan and coordinate daily fuel distribution to meet mine production requirements and ensure timely refuelling of mining equipment, mobile fleets, generators and other authorized equipment. Supervise fuel bowser operators across shifts, allocate work and fuelling routes, and coordinate emergency refuelling requirements with Mining and Maintenance departments. Ensure fuel transactions are accurately captured in the fuel management system and manual records, verify transaction details, submit shift documentation, and monitor fuel-management equipment and meter calibration. Coordinate with maintenance teams to maintain fuel bowsers, flow meters and dispensing equipment, report defects, follow up corrective and preventive maintenance, and confirm repaired equipment is safe before return to service. Lead and develop the fuel distribution team through pre-shift meetings, daily briefings, performance monitoring, coaching, training support, and promotion of teamwork and safety culture. Enforce HSSE policies and safe-work procedures, conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks, ensure PPE compliance, prevent spills and contamination, support incident investigations, and maintain housekeeping in fuel distribution areas. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Education & Qualification Certificate of Secondary education or above. Valid Tanzanian driving license with Heavy duty Code E category. Certificate from college from where the Heavy duty Code E category was achieved. Relevant fuel-management or petroleum-handling training. Training in occupational health and safety, fire safety and spill response. Defensive Driving or Master-drive is an added advantage. No criminal record. Experience 3 years or above of experience in driving heavy duty vehicle and light vehicles with manual gear transfer system, especially in the mining industry. 3 years or above of experience in fuel distribution in a mining industrial environment. Previous supervisory experience in the mining industry. Experience with fuel management systems. Mining experience is highly desirable. Experience in driving Benz trucks, especially Actros 3340, will be an added advantage. Knowledge & Skills Strong leadership and supervision. Mine-site safety awareness. Fuel storage and dispensing knowledge. Risk assessment and incident investigation. Computer literacy, especially Excel and Word. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail and integrity. Problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to work under pressure and on a mine-site roster. Commitment to zero harm and environmental protection. Ability to enforce discipline and compliance with mine procedures.
