JOB PURPOSE
Purpose: A Demand Planning Specialist’s purpose is to deliver accurate 18-month rolling forecasts, optimize forecasting models, ensure cross-departmental alignment, and drive a data-driven forecasting process to support business objectives and enhance reliability

| Key Duties & Responsibilities |
- Accurate 18-Month Rolling Forecast : Deliver and maintain a high-accuracy forecast over an 18-month period, integrating market trends, historical sales, and promotional activities to support business objectives
- Optimized Forecast Models : Refine and optimize statistical forecasting models based on weekly exception reports and data analysis, leading to continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and overall reliability
- Cross-Departmental Alignment on Forecasts : Ensure effective communication and alignment across departments on forecast plans, providing clear visibility and facilitating quick adjustments as needed based on changing business conditions
- Data-Driven Forecasting Process : Drive a highly data-driven forecasting process that incorporates analytical tools, exception monitoring, and regular performance tracking to continually refine and enhance demand planning

| Skills, Experience & Education |
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s will be an added advantage
Experience
- 3-4 years experience in developing, managing, and maintaining highly accurate forecasts in fast-paced, complex business environments, ideally within a FMCG industry
Skills
- Strong ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, enhance forecasting accuracy, and implement data-driven improvements
- High attention to detail and accuracy in validating sales data and historical records for reliable forecasting inputs
Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of forecasts with marketing, sales, and operational objectives
- Ability to quickly adjust forecasts and predictive models in response to changing market conditions, ensuring responsiveness to real-time business needs
- Exceptional communication skills to clearly present forecast plans, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
