You’re a strong technical leader with a passion for building both products and people:Proven experience as a senior software engineer or engineering team leadSolid expertise in PHP, Symfony (or similar), and modern software architectureStrong understanding of microservices, domain-driven design, and scalable system designExperience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teamsProficiency in Git-based version control (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsA strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivery and qualityWhat makes you stand out:

As a team lead, you will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership to drive both delivery and team growth:Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaborationOwn the delivery of key products and features, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliabilityGuide the team in building robust, modern systems using microservices architecture and best engineering practicesDrive continuous improvement by refining development processes and introducing efficienciesReference number for this position is GZ61484 which is a permanent Hybrid position based in Observatory Cape Town offering a salary of R1.2m per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
