Senior Fraud Investigation Specialist at PalmPay Tanzania

Job description

To lead fraud investigations, identify fraudulent activities, minimize financial losses, support recovery, and coordinate with relevant law-enforcement authorities on criminal cases. Key Responsibilities Lead investigations into fraud, theft, misappropriation, forgery, collusion, and financial crimes Investigate suspicious transactions involving customers, employees, agents, dealers, and mobile/device financing Collect, analyze, and preserve evidence and conduct interviews with relevant parties Prepare clear investigation reports with findings, financial impact, and recommendations Identify fraud trends, control weaknesses, and recommend preventive measures Support recovery of funds, devices, and company assets lost through fraud Coordinate with Police/CID and other relevant authorities on reported criminal cases Maintain confidential and accurate investigation records Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, HR, Finance, and Operations teams Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Finance, Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Security Studies, or related field Minimum 5 years’ experience in fraud investigation, financial crime, law enforcement, banking, fintech, mobile money, or related fields Previous Police/CID or investigative experience is highly preferred Strong professional working relationships with relevant law-enforcement authorities are an added advantage Strong investigation, interviewing, analytical, evidence-handling, and report-writing skills High integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive cases
