We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 7+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines, data models, and backend systems that support scalable analytics and business intelligence. You will work end-to-end on projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the evolution of our data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and backend data solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and modelling.
- Build and maintain data infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Integrate and manage RESTful APIs for data processing and service connectivity.
- Apply CI/CD workflows and version control (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) to ensure deployment quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Familiarity with AI concepts and prompt engineering is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development and scripting.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in relational databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Hands-on with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration best practices.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong grasp of SDLC principles and clean, maintainable code.
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end and work independently.
