## Job Description

### Key Responsibilities

- Performing open-heart surgery, heart valve repairs/replacements, and coronary artery bypass grafting.

- Operating on the lungs (cancer, infections), esophagus, trachea, and chest wall.

- Conducting transplant surgeries for patients with organ failure.

-  Evaluating patient conditions through imaging and tests, then determining the appropriate surgical treatment.

- Managing recovery in the ICU and overseeing long-term follow-up to ensure healing.

- Treating acute thoracic injuries, such as those from trauma.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

- Master of Medicine in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.

- Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

- Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

- Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.

- Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

- Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
