Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for a Senior AI Engineer who can take sophisticated AI and data concepts and turn them into real, scalable, production-grade solutions.
You’ll operate at the intersection of AI, software engineering, data and enterprise architecture, developing solutions designed to deliver measurable business impact across a large and complex organisation.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and deploy production-grade AI solutionsBuild Generative AI, LLM and Machine Learning applicationsDevelop data pipelines, AI platforms and enterprise integrationsIntegrate AI capabilities with existing business systems and APIsTake ownership from architecture through development, deployment and optimisationDevelop scalable, secure and maintainable solutionsApply MLOps, DevOps and CI/CD practicesSupport Responsible AI, data governance and enterprise architectureCollaborate with technical and business teams to deliver measurable outcomesQualifications and experience:
Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science or related field10+ years’ software engineering experience.2+ years’ experience in AI, ML, Data or Automation Engineering.Strong Python development skills.Hands-on experience with AI/ML and Generative AI/LLM solutions.Experience designing data pipelines and data platforms.Strong API and enterprise integration experience.Proven experience taking solutions into production.Experience with Azure, C# and .NET.Strong CI/CD, DevOps or MLOps experience.The reference number for this position is NG61515 which is a permanent, Hybrid role in Johannesburg offering a salary of up to R1.2mil per annum salary negotiable based on experience.
