The successful candidate must be a self-driven professional capable of maintaining financial integrity and managing reporting timelines independently.Reports to: Head of Finance & AdministrationEmployment Type: Full-TimeApplication Deadline: Tuesday, 13th October 2026, at 17:00 PMPOSITION: SENIOR ACCOUNTANTJOB TYPE: Full TimeKEY REQUIREMENTSRequired Qualifications & Experience:A Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.Professional qualification of advanced progression in a globally recognized accounting program.Active, valid registration in good standing with a recognized professional accountancy body.Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a senior financial or accounting role.Proven proficiency in advanced accounting software.Strong working knowledge of Malawian tax laws, the Malawi Employment Act, and IFRS standards.Core Attributes:Demonstrates absolute trustworthiness when handling confidential, high-level corporate data and financial systems.Capable of executing duties with minimal supervision while meeting tight reporting deadlines.Methodical approach to troubleshooting accounting variances and reconciling complex ledgers.Ability to break down financial data into clear operational insights for executive leadership.Adept at balancing multiple regulatory deadlines concurrently without compromising on data quality.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow projections.Manage the end-to-end calculation, filing, and timely submission of all statutory obligations.Oversee monthly payroll execution, ensuring proper allocation and remittance of levies and other remittances.Cooperate in producing fiscal reporting indicators required for financial services and bureau auditing frameworks.Coordinate internal and external audit processes and implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies.Manage company liquidity, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and authorize payments for executive sign-off.HOW TO APPLYInterested candidates who meet the above criteria should submit their application letter, an updated CV with three traceable referees, and copies of certificates to:Email: humanresource@creditdatamw.comSubject Line: Application for Senior AccountantOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
