CMST is seeking to recruit transformative and visionary persons to support it to effectively fulfill its mandate across its establishments in Mzuzu, Lilongwe and Blantyre as follows:Job Title: Security Services OfficerJob Grade: MS5Location: LilongweResponsible to: Human Resource and Administration Manager (MS3)Responsible for: Assistant Security Services Officer (MS6)No. of Positions: One (1)Purpose of the JobTo coordinate, supervise and strengthen security operations across the Trust, ensuring the effective protection of employees, assets, facilities, information and operations.Duties and Responsibilities - Assessing the security needs of the Trust and recommending appropriate security interventions. - Coordinating the procurement and outsourcing of security services for all CMST facilities. - Liaising with relevant departments on the acquisition of security infrastructure and services. - Managing relationships with contracted security service providers. - Coordinating deployment and supervision of security personnel across CMST establishments. - Preparing and submitting monthly security reports to management. - Monitoring the performance of contracted security providers and recommending corrective actions where necessary. - Ensuring that all security and surveillance equipment is functional and properly maintained. - Overseeing implementation of approved security systems, procedures and operations. - Supervising security operations and ensuring compliance with established security procedures. - Conducting tactical patrols and inspections to enforce security standards. - Monitoring CCTV, vehicle tracking, electric - fence and radio communication systems in accordance with professional security practices and applicable human rights requirements.Job and Person SpecificationsQualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Security Studies, Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, Public Safety Management, Military Science, Law Enforcement or a related field from a recognised institution. - Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent. - Professional training in intelligence, investigations, risk assessment or security management will be an added advantage.Experience - A minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in security management, law enforcement, military service, law enforcement or a related field. - Retired senior police officers or military officers will have an added advantage.Skills and Personal Attributes - Excellent analytical, investigative and intelligence-gathering skills. - Strong communication and networking skills. - Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage conflict and resolve complex security issues. - Sound judgement and decision-making skills. - High levels of integrity and professionalism. - Ability to prepare security reports and advisories. - Knowledge of modern electronic security systems and security risk management.SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONInterested and qualifying individuals should submit applications and detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), with at least three names of traceable referees, and copies of certificates.
