## Job Description

Security Jobs, Farmer’s Choice Jobs. Security Officer enforces security protocols, monitors entry points, conducts patrols, and reports risks, requires a Security Management Diploma/Degree and 2+ years experience.

### Responsibilities

- Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles in line with approved procedures.

- Verify IDs, visitor authorizations, gate passes, delivery documents and vehicle movement records.

- Conduct lawful and respectful searches of persons, bags, vehicles and consignments in line with company policy. Issue and reconcile visitor badges, keys, radios and other controlled security items.

- Conduct scheduled and random patrols of the perimeter, production, warehouse, dispatch, offices and vulnerable points.

- Monitor CCTV, alarms and other assigned security systems and report irregularities immediately.

- Detect and report theft, suspicious activity, tampering,

- unsafe acts and food-defence or biosecurity breaches.

- Maintain accurate occurrence books, patrol logs, key registers, visitor registers, vehicle registers and incident reports.

- Verify inbound and outbound goods, seals, dispatch notes and gate passes, and escalate any discrepancies.

- Respond to alarms, fire, medical or security incidents, and support emergency procedures and evacuations.

Qualifications

- KCSE certificate or equivalent.

Key Competencies

- Strong knowledge of access control, patrols, CCTV, incident reporting and emergency procedures.

- Basic computer literacy and ability to prepare clear written reports.

- Integrity and trustworthiness.

- Vigilance and strong attention to detail.

- Sound judgment and timely escalation.

- Good communication, customer orientation and confidentiality.

- Teamwork, reliability and ability to work shifts.

- Certificate in security management, criminology, investigations, fire safety or first aid is an added advantage.

- Valid registration, training and compliance required under applicable private-security law and regulation.

- At least 2 years’ relevant security experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, agriculture or a high-volume distribution environment.

- Valid driving licence is an added advantage.
