Responsible for developing new business opportunities, identifying and maintaining customer relationships, promoting Sacco products and services, generating leads through networking and direct sales, supporting member acquisition campaigns, resolving customer queries and ensuring compliance. Requires a Diploma or Higher Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field. The position is based in Nairobi, and requires on-site work.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold calling, direct selling and other approved acquisition channels.
• Recruit and onboard new members by assessing their needs, recommending appropriate products and facilitating account opening and activation.
• Build, manage and maintain strong relationships with new and existing members to enhance retention, loyalty and business growth.
• Identify members’ financial needs and recommend appropriate products, services and financial solutions to deepen relationships and increase product uptake.
• Plan and participate in member education, sales activations, outreach programmes and product campaigns to increase awareness and generate business leads.
• Cross-sell and promote the Society’s products and services to both new and existing members to maximize business opportunities.
• Provide timely and professional support to members by responding to enquiries, resolving service issues and coordinating the resolution of complaints relating to assigned portfolios.
• Maintain accurate member and prospect information, monitor assigned portfolios, obtain member feedback and prepare periodic sales and performance reports.
• Ensure all member acquisition, onboarding and relationship management activities comply with KYC, due diligence requirements, applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a business-related field from a recognized institution.
• Bachelors Degree will be an added advantage
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, customer relationship management, banking or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect for new business, acquire and retain customers, achieve sales targets and build sustainable customer relationships.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse member segments.
• Good numerical, analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to monitor sales performance, maintain accurate records and prepare periodic reports.
